The dilatation pins are used for insertion into the teat canal in case of hard milking, after operations or other teat damage. In combination with the ointment, which glides well, they act as a mechanical dilator in the case of dilatation of the teat canal after injuries and operations and thus prevent a narrowing of the teat canal or adhesion.
