This laying nest with 5 individual nests is suitable for medium and small laying hens & chickens. Each individual hen nest is equipped with a privacy screen and a bottom hole to roll the eggs. As chickens like to jump into their nests, where eggs can burst, the laying nest has a fold-out approach bar.

The single nest size is 220 x 290 mm. Complete with drawer and sloping roof.

Laying hens separate themselves from the group to lay eggs. This nest gives them the opportunity to do so. As a general rule, place the laying hen nest as far as possible to the edge of the hen house. This way the nest will be even better accepted as a place to lay eggs.

By having a hole in the floor, the egg nest prevents the hens from eating their own eggs. As soon as the hen gets up, the egg automatically rolls through the floor hole and thus remains out of reach for the hen.
