The new laying nest from MS Broedmachines is a metal nest with plastic floors, designed for 4 hens.
The 4 compartments provide space for 4 hens to lay their eggs comfortably and easily.

An egg compartment has been fitted at the front for each compartment, into which the eggs roll in automatically. This makes it easier to collect eggs in separate compartments and the hens are kept out of reach of the eggs. No more broken eggs!

The sloping roof of the laying nest prevents the hens from sitting on the roof.
The floor of the laying nest, the roof and the lids of the egg compartments are made of sturdy plastic. This not only makes the nest more comfortable for the chickens, it also makes it easier for you to clean the inside and outside.

The MS Broedmachines laying nest can be installed either standing or hanging. It is supplied disassembled, including assembly materials and instructions.

Is the laying nest easy to clean?

Yes, thanks to the removable plastic shelves in the nest, the roof and the lids of the plastic egg compartments, the laying nest can be easily cleaned both inside and out. Faeces and other residues can simply be removed from the inside, and you can then wash the floors and the outside with water.

Is the laying nest pre-assembled or does it have to be assembled?

The laying nest is supplied in individual parts in a cardboard box. You assemble it yourself, but all the materials for assembly are included in the delivery, including clear instructions.

Can I customise the number and size of the individual compartments?

No, the number and size of the individual compartments in this laying nest are fixed and cannot be further customised.
