Temperature controller with plug and mating connector for hotplates
This temperature controller is specially designed for hot plates.
The temperature controller is equipped with an 80cm long cord and is suitable for a maximum consumption of 100W.
This temperature controller is also suitable forNOTlight emittingheat sources, such as heat mats, heating elements and dark radiators.
Please note:
This temperature controller is absolutelyNOTfor light emitting heat sources (e.g. infrared lamps), because the current supply of this controller pulsates. This would cause the lamp to flash constantly.
Function
By turning the adjusting knob (1-7), the temperature of the heat plate can be regulated.
> Setting 1 - low temperature - provides about 20% of the heat plate's power
> Setting 7 - maximum power (corresponds to use without WPR).
The controller regulates the temperature of the heat plate based on pulsation. In position 1 it lets little current through and pulsates slowly. In position 6, the WPR pulsates quickly and also lets a lot of current through. In position 7, the controller lets a constant current through without pulsating. Pulsation can be recognised by the flashing red LED on the heat plate.
Connection: Connect the cable of the heat plate to the controller (socket). Make sure that the connection is not loose. Then connect the plug of the controller (WPR) to a socket. Set the controller to level 7.
Use: Now choose the correct stand based on the heat requirements of your chicks. Start with the warmest position (position 7) and switch back gradually. Wait half an hour after each setting to evaluate the result. The chicks themselves will indicate whether the heat is sufficient. If the hot plate is too warm, the chicks will move away from it. Is the plate too cold? Then they crawl close together to stay warm enough. Checking the chicks' behaviour is therefore absolutely necessary after the new setting.
